“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.”
Romans 12:4-5 (NKJV)
Hello!
After a while, here I am again, and I hope you, who are reading me, are doing very well.
For some time now, I have had chapter 12 of the Book of Romans in my head, and this morning, when I read it, I felt verse 5 to another level.
The Holy Spirit has put in my heart to talk to you, who has difficulty integrating yourself into the body of Christ. I can’t know all the reasons, but maybe you’re having trouble because you feel out of place.
Your life has probably been subject to a lot of changes in a very short time and you feel lost. Maybe you haven’t found a church yet, or maybe you did find a church, but you just don’t know what to do.
You feel left out, disoriented, lost. You feel in your heart that God has called you to serve him but something is stopping you.
The Lord sent me to talk to you this morning. I come to remind you of your worth and your importance in the body of Christ.
You have your place.
And it is true that it seems like you don’t, but yes, you have your place in the body of Christ and in the work of God.
You’re not too dirty, or too inexperienced. You have this place that Jesus Christ redeemed for you.
As Paul tells the Romans so well, it is also time for you to understand that you are just as important. Each part of our human body has its importance and in a very subtle way, each one of them dependent on each other. (Yes, God knew what he was doing.)
Indeed, if someone cut off your little toe, your whole body would make you feel and notice that something was missing. Likewise, the longer you wait before committing yourself to the work of the Lord, the more something will be missing.
You have your place, and you have value in the eyes of God. Now, in the name of Jesus Christ, rebuke all these thoughts that lead you to believe the opposite. It is time for you to enter in your destiny, because you were born to shine.
Look for a good church, one where you will have good mentors who can follow your progress.
Ask the Holy Spirit to help you make the right choice.
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal Savior, if you have not yet done so.
Join one of the departments in church, make yourself useful.
Join the different Bible study, prayer and teaching programs.
And in all this, don’t forget to ask the Holy Spirit for his support, strength, advice and help. He will answer you.
But above all, shine for the glory of God.
May God bless you.
You were born to shine.
